1. World AIDS Day 2025: WAPCP Hosts HIV Response Webinar

To commemorate World AIDS Day 2025, the Lagos Zone of the West Africa Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP), in collaboration with the Nigeria Chapter, hosted a webinar titled “Turning Disruption into Progress: Strengthening Nigeria HIV/AIDS Response.”  

Distinguished speakers included Dr. Teresa Isichei Pounds, Dr. Zandraetta Tims Cook, and Dr. Roseline I. Aderemi-Williams.  

They discussed how Nigeria can transform supply chain disruptions of antiretrovirals into opportunities, urging support for local pharmaceutical manufacturing.  

The call: reduce dependence on foreign donors to ensure continuous access to life-saving medications.  

2. IGP Withdraws 11,566 Policemen from VIPs

Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun recalled over 11,500 police officers from VIP duty.  

They will be redeployed to bolster public security nationwide. 


3. FG Clarifies Open Grazing Policy 

Nigeria’s 273 gazetted grazing reserves will transition gradually to ranching.

Officials stressed this is not an overnight ban but a phased reform.  

4. NDA Opens Portal for 78th Regular CourseNDA Opens Portal for 78th Regular Course

The Nigerian Defence Academy launched applications for its 78th Regular Course.  

Portal open from Nov 28, 2025 – Apr 30, 2026. 

Candidates must pay ₦7,000 via REMITA and avoid unofficial channels.

5. CBN Orders Withdrawal of Misleading Bank Ads

The Central Bank of Nigeria directed banks to pull down misleading advertisements.  

Many ads exaggerated benefits or relied on unaudited claims. 

Compliance is mandatory to protect consumers.  

6. Nigeria Declares Aviation Safety Emergency

The NCAA inaugurated a National Operational Safety Committee to strengthen aviation standards. 

DG Capt. Chris Najomo said it’s part of a broader State Safety Programme.
