The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2026 WASSCE results  today, August 5, 2026.  Nearly two million candidates  across Nigeria and other West African countries sat for the exam, marking one of the largest participation figures in recent years. In a deeply troubling incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a teacher at Christ Mitot School in Ikorodu, Lagos, has been arraigned for physically assaulting a three-year-old pupil. Today has been a great day witnessing the graduation ceremony of pupils graduating from Basic five to college and students passing out to attend higher learning. Parents expressed gratitude towards God, who has enabled them to finance their children's school fees despite the present economic downturn in Nigeria.   The Chairman, Engr.
