PFIPC DG Arrest Sparks Transparency Debate

Police arrested Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, DG of the fictitious Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).   The Arrest followed a Federal High Court bench warrant after repeated failure to appear.   He faces eight-count charges of forgery, fraud, and impersonation.   PFIPC appeared in the 2026 budget with ₦1.3 billion allocation despite lacking legal status.   President Tinubu directed the ICPC to probe the scandal further.
